Support Groups

We provide community based support groups for parents affected by perinatal depression and anxiety.

Support groups for Mums

Our support groups are a safe space for Mums with perinatal depression and anxiety to connect and acknowledge their struggles.

Facilitated by Peer Supporters who have experienced perinatal mental illness they learn a variety of self help techniques that enable them to take back control of their lives.

Police checked volunteers are present at group to take care of the children while the mums are in group.

Referrals are essential for these daytime groups and can be made by a medical professional, family, friend or yourself by filling in this form.

Wellbeing Groups

Drop in support groups for mothers and pregnant women.

Connect with others and get support for breastfeeding, anxiety and the day-to-day parenting journey. Babies and toddlers welcome.

Facilitated by trained breastfeeding and mental wellbeing peer supporters.

New Brighton Wellbeing Group

Wednesday, 10am-12pm, 71 Beresford St, New Brighton

Rolleston Wellbeing Group

Friday, 10am-12pm, 40 Brookside Rd, Rolleston

Support group for Dads

*Currently not running due to facilitator ill health*

An informal group for Dads who are needing some extra support with their own postnatal depression and anxiety, or would like to know more about what their partners are going through.

Facilitated by a Dad who has had experience of both this is a safe place to chat, listen and connect with others without the fear of being judged.
