Support Groups

We provide community based support groups for parents affected by perinatal depression and anxiety.

Support groups for Mums

Our support groups are a safe space for Mums with perinatal depression and anxiety to connect and acknowledge their struggles.

Peer Supporters who have experienced perinatal mental illness enable mothers to take back control of their lives by teaching a 20 week programme of skills around self-care, managing anxiety, alternatives to self-harm, connecting with their children, the benefits of exercise and good nutrition, how to manage relationships and start interacting within the community again.

An Asian support group led by a Chinese speaking Peer Supporter also follows the 20 week programme and incorporates Asian cultural support.

Police checked volunteers are present at group to take care of the children while the mums are in group.

Referrals are essential for these daytime groups and can be made by a medical professional, family, friend or yourself by filling in this form.

Wellbeing Groups

Drop in support groups for mothers and pregnant women.

Connect with others and get support for breastfeeding, anxiety and the day-to-day parenting journey. Babies and toddlers welcome.

Facilitated by trained breastfeeding and mental wellbeing peer supporters.
